Kim began his insurance career as an underwriter with Industrial Indemnity Insurance in 1977. In 1980 he went to work for Allied Insurance, which was purchased by Nationwide Insurance in 1999. In 1986 Kim helped write the original AIDCO agreement and signed the first three agents in the nation to the AIDCO program. During his career with Nationwide Kim was named National Sales Manager of the Year seven times. Kim retired from Nationwide in December 2017 after 37 years of service with the company.
Three months before retirement Kim became familiar with Insurance Agency Network. He advised several Nationwide Insurance agents to look at IAN because of the value of the group. After 11 months of retirement, being a firm believer in Insurance Agency Network, Kim and IAN began working together to offer the benefits of Association to other agents in the Western Region of Nationwide Insurance. Kim has been married to Denise for 37 years. They have two daughters and four grandchildren that keep them busy. He looks forward to the grandchildren sleepovers, family get-togethers and BBQ’s. Kim also enjoys hunting, fishing, and golfing. |
