Scott began his Accounting his career at Grant Thornton in 1990. 1n 1991 he formed his own CPA practice. His scope of practice includes business formation, general business and finance consulting, income tax planning and preparation, business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and risk management.
In 2001 Scott developed a succession plan for Arnold Bruce & Doerfler Insurance Agency. The agency traces its roots back to Gerlinger, Richards & Company founded in 1911. Scott purchased Arnold Bruce & Doerfler in 2004 and today they provide comprehensive insurance and bonding solutions, for both personal and commercial clients. Scott is married to Jill Shoen, née Doerfler. Their son, Calen, is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Geo Technical Engineering. The family enjoy motorcycling and alpine skiing as a family. Scott is active in the community and is a crisis counseling volunteer with the National Suicide Hotline and the Veteran's Crisis Line.
