Become an IAN Associate
Association/Affiliation Guidelines/Procedures:
Associate will be a Licensed Insurance Agent/Agency in good standing with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and all of their affiliated insurance companies and Licensing organizations.
Associate Agent/Agency and Nationwide Insurance Mutual Insurance Company will have a current and valid:
Insurance Agency Network and Associate Agent/Agency will be required to sign a Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to the exchange of information. Associate Agent/Agency will submit the following documents to Insurance Agency Network for review and consideration:
1. Production Reports:
Independent Agency
Summary Agency Production Report for previous month
Summary Agency Production Report for previous year end
Exclusive Agency:
Revenue Connection Dashboard for previous month
Current Monthly Contributor Report
Current Historic Contributor Report
2. Completed New Associate Form.
IAN will prepare and forward an Income Performa Report to the Associate Agent/Agency for review and consideration. The IAN report provides calculations for the opportunity to improve annual compensation income under the Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company compensation plans for:
If requested by the Associate Agent/Agency, IAN will forward the Association Agreement for consideration, review and approval by the owners, principals or officers of the Associate Agent/Agency. The Association Agreement is required to be sent back to IAN for final approval. Final approval will be evidenced by the Association Agreement signed by IAN Administration and returned to Associate Agent/Agency for their records. IAN will forward the completed Association Agreement to the appropriate Regional or Home Office Staff of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and other carriers for processing.
Paperwork must be submitted to IAN prior to the 15 th of the month for the increased commission compensation to be effective the 1 st of the following month. Increased compensation payments owed to the Associate Agent/Agency will be made in compliance with the Nationwide Agreements, addendums, amendments or endorsements in effect at the time of their Association Agreement with IAN.
Associate Agent/Agency and Nationwide Insurance Mutual Insurance Company will have a current and valid:
- Independent Agency Agreement
- Independent Contractor Agent Agreement.
- ELITE Agency Agreement.
Insurance Agency Network and Associate Agent/Agency will be required to sign a Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to the exchange of information. Associate Agent/Agency will submit the following documents to Insurance Agency Network for review and consideration:

- New Personal and Commercial Lines Commissions
- Personal Lines Renewal Commissions
- Personal Lines Variable Compensation
- Commercial Lines Profit Share
